Magic Johnson Recounts his HIV Announcement in ESPN Documentary

In 1991 Magic Johnson announced that he had the HIV virus and would be retiring from the L.A. Lakers. The news shocked the world, but also helped put a new face on the AIDS epidemic that was then only thought to be effecting gay men. Now 20 years later he's teamed with ESPN to take his fans back to that fateful day and how his life has changed since in the documentary THE ANNOUNCEMENT. Magic's friends and colleagues like coach Pat Riley, Karl Malone, Arsenio Hall and Chris Rock talk about Johnson's big announcement and how it effected them and the world as well as his oldest son Andre and wife Cookie who was 2 months pregnant at the time. HH was on hand for the films premiere and talked with Magic and friends about the importance of this documentary.
